Little Miss Muffett, Sat On Her Tuffett!

Meet Miss Muffett, my new doll in the Up-Cycled Sock Doll series!

Here is a vintage inspired storybook doll I made using 4 pairs of children's socks, vintage doll clothes, additional doll clothes I made and aged w/coffee and tea mix, fabric scraps, crinoline, DMC Tapestry yarn, DMC embroidery floss, twine, Fabri-Tac, Paper, ribbon, trims and more.

I had a similar original which was in bad shape, So I re-made using new socks, removed the clothes, added more and my touch to it, now here she is: Miss Muffett! Currently Miss Muffett has a few friends being created for her: Sugar Plum Fairy, Lady Savannah, Princess Clementine and Queen of Hearts!

The New Doll Parts on the Block!


I have been busy creating new doll parts and pieces for my embellishments line, many will be exclusive to My Moonfaires World Website, This Blog and My Piddlestixs Store. I also created value pack collections in a variety of themes: Storybook, Wonderland, Charlotte, Kewpie, Fairy, Birthday Party and Cake Party. These value packs have a savings between 20 % to 40% depending on the value pack.

All the parts in the collection are hand molded, hand pressed, dried, sanded and painted by me for now the only real way I can offer a discount on these pieces are through bulk custom orders, value packs and at the store, my auction and listing sites can only be discounted to a point due to listing fees, etc. However, once these are produced by a manufacturer next year, they will be available in stores.

My parts have been gracing the works of many artists from altered artist to jewelry designers to doll makers and scrapbookers. They are lightweight, and flat back perfect for laying onto surfaces. Some pieces can come rounded for charm making and doll making.

Meet Bailey, The Teddy Queen!

Meet Bailey, the Teddy Queen. Bailey's favorite color is pink and she loves cotton candy, she lives in Cocoa Falls, just north of Mousse City and Bearywood Forest which is home to the rainbow bears, her favorite are the Pink Bears whose favorite food are jelly beans.

Every year Bearywood Forest holds the annual Teddy Queen Pageant and Festival. This years winner is Bailey, how exciting...

Bailey is a new style added to my Charlotte Doll Line, made using my own handmade molds, clay, paints, and a variety of embellishments. Each one of my molded dolls are unique and one of a kind, reminiscent of the vintage dolls from the past with my twist on them.

I hope you enjoyed meeting Bailey and join her at the festival for some fun!

Meet Antoinette Le Peep!

Antoinette was made using the newest doll parts in my embellishments line: Storybook Chick which can be found in my etsy store and at Piddlestixs in Lafayette, NJ!

She was also made with vintage lace, trims, pearls, honeycomb, millinery, chenille, rhinestones and more.

Antoinette measures about 8 1/2 to 9 inches in height! This doll and several others will be available on Etsy and at Piddlestixs.

Come join Antoinette Le Peep as she attends the Carousel Soiree and dances til midnight. Alongside some of her friends: Frieda, Sophie, Elle, Minka and Claudette who are all getting ready for the soiree.

Sophie is Antoinette's first cousin and princess in waiting, Frieda and Elle are twins whose parents own Stwiggly Farms, Claudette is heir to the Pemberlisse Candy Fortune and Minka is her best friend and daughter of Babe Worthwood, designer of the storybook houses on Willow Row, just outside of Rosette Jardins.

The Carousel Soiree is held at Blanca Primspeep's mansion in Le Meringue, north of Rosette Jardins. Every year a carousel queen is chosen, I wonder who will be crowned this year?

"Polly's Starring in the Moonlight Ballet and her date: Cupie of Love!"
As many of you know I am a lover of dolls and all things fantasy, that also includes vintage carnival dolls and cupies/kewpies! For years I have been creating around these themes through my stories, illustrations, collage art and dolls.My passion for creating dolls has lead me on a journey into the world of papier mache. I have experimented w/papier mache, striving to find that perfect blend which could resemble the look of chalkware. On a trip to the San Francisco Area last year I bought a vintage chalkware bunny, when I came home I placed my bunny onto a cute cake stand in my studio, this bunny has inspired me ever since.As I made my charlotte dolls and doll parts I would experiment with different clay mixtures, some are perfect for one thing and not the other. I've developed a clay paint mixture perfect for 3Dimentional details and texture (This article can be found in the November/December Cloth Paper Scissors Magazine). As I played with papier mache I found myself un-satisfied, I wasn't comfortable with the mixes I was making until a few weeks ago, by accident aka the serendipity method, I stumbled upon the perfect clay. This clay is a combo of papier mache and a chalkware feel when dried, hence my new feel good discovery within my art.From this I have re-molded some pieces and bought vintage tin molds, trying to re-capure that storybook vintage look, these following dolls are the result of that.

Each doll has a 4 day and multi step process:
1.The clay is made for each batch, cured/dried on each side.
2.Next they are baked for several hours, cooled, and sanded.
3.Now they get coated, painted and aged
4.Finally they are embellished with vintage millinery, handmade hats/clothes, crushed sugar glitter and more.

All my dolls come signed by me, and will be numbered in a collection, until I retire their style.

Polly's Moonlight Ballet is the story about a cupie girl named Polly is has been chosen to be a Moonfairy in the Moonlight Ballet which will be held at the Starlight Garden Theater located at Petalwood Square. Polly will dance, sing and fly to a symphony of enchanted melodies, half way through the performance Polly is startled by a glittering sugar arrow which was sprung from the arrow of Poe, The Cupie of Love. By the end Polly and Poe fall in love, but I recommend the ballet to all....

Mermaids, Charlottes, Tea Oh Boy!
As you all know, The Mermaid Tea Party is Fast Approaching, 2 more days till the tea and sea event begins. All the Mermaids are primping for this Springtime event, with fancy hairdo's tea time hats, mer-tail jewelry and clothing, crowns, jewels, and appetites for a scrumptious afternoon of delicious treats.

There is so much to do and prepare for, afterall, we have many mermaids and mermaid attendees coming for tea, I promise to share the recipes for everything with you all.

Even the Charlotte Dollies have been prepping for their costumes for the event. Here is some new photos of Queen Millie (Lily's Sister), Harlequin Maude and Queen Esmeralda.Here is a close up of the one and only Queen Millie, she loves cotton candy and sugar! Now here is Harlequin Maude, who just loves the carnival and diamonds!Queen Esmeralda's favorite color is blue, could you tell? These gals sure know how to dress, their costumes are perfect for Saturday's Tea Party, now the only thing left to buy is a mer-tail, Chanterelles makes the finest Mer-tails in the area and is super busy designing everyone's pieces for the party, if you call them for your mer-tail, tell them I referred you!

Marionette Theater Workshop, Snibbets inside the Candyland Theater!

I do and so does Miss Nellis, her favorite treat is cherry cupcakes with creamy vanilla filling, she also loves pink opera cake and coconut cookies.There is magic and enchantment lurking behind every corner or theater curtain, waiting for you to discover. The halls are lighted with Parisian bulb lights, candy fountains and lollipop containers.
