Miss Spellbinder's Ballet, Two Projects and a Giveaway!
Once again I created another project using my new scrapbook paper, these two projects involve 2 sheets from the collection, Wizard Ballet and Midnight Optometry.
The Wizard Ballet sheet is mirrored, allowing for the artist to get several projects from the one sheet such as an atc, a tag, an assemblage base or small paper doll, as accents for a scrapbook layout and more. This sheet comes in 2 tones: Glow and Plain tone, and as one full sheet.
I created two projects from that one sheet and still have paper left from it to create more. Its already illustrated allowing you to add to it, alter it, create a whole atc series from it (making atc swapping easier, etc).
The first project is an assemblage made using:
-Wizard Ballet Scrapbook Paper
-Midnight Optometry Scrapbook Paper
-Sizzix Big Shots Machine/ Sizzix Box Die Cut
-German glass silver glitter, chunky cut
-Fine glitter, Art Glitter
-Black seam binding
-Cream crepe paper
-Fabri-tac, Beacon Adhesives
The second project is an atc trio:
-Wizard Ballet Scrapbook Paper
-German glass silver glitter, chunky cut
-Fine glitter, Art Glitter
-Black seam binding
-Cream crepe paper
-Fabri-tac, Beacon Adhesives
The Giveaway: One Miss Spellbinder Magic Ballet ATC and Scrapbook Blanks!
I will be giving away a Miss Spellbinder ATC and 2 Spellbinder cuts from the paper, so that you can make 2 atc's for yourself using my paper!
Leave a comment here, telling me your favorite storybook or fairytale, that's it! I will pick the winner on 12/31/10

Lisa, I love your art! So pretty! I love the story of the Nutcracker Ballet. My Grandma would take me to see it every year when I was small and I was completely enchanted! Merry Christmas!
Thanks so much Peggy! I loved the Nutcracker Ballet too, so magical!!
Happy Holidays and Magic to you too!
xoxo
Lisa -
OMG! You've blown me away with your projects today. I can't get over how dimensional the ATC's look! They are beautiful. And the Ballet Box is stunning, it is whimsical and elegant at the same time! Just Magic!
My all time favorite, hands down, don't have to think about it, fairy tale is Beauty and the Beast. I've loved that story since I was a little girl (a long time ago). I still try to collect movies and books with that theme. I love the Disney film version of it. But my favorite is the french version by filmaker Jean Cocteau. Just a beautiful rendition of the story. I don't know why the story has always attracted me. I just find the story of the ugly beast and the young girl who sees past his exterior and finds the heart of a gentle soul inside, touches me. Sigh - think I'll go run the movie now - LOL!
MERRY CHRISTMAS LISA!

Wow-just found your site- and love everything you create and share on your blog. My next stop is to check out your products. My favorite childhood stories were about Eloise - I wanted to get away with doing all sort of bad thing like she did lol.
OOOOh Elaine, that was so beautiful, now I want to re-watch Beauty and the Beast, I saw it 2 or 3 times on broadway, once w/Toni braxton as beauty and the other was the original girl who played Annie.
Michelle, I am so glad you found the blog, I hope you are finding lots of magic here!
Happy Holidays and Magic to you both!

Lisa!
Lisa! how exquisite is this! They look like something you might find in an bewitched gypsy wagon!
I love them.they look so real it makes my heart ache!
My favorite fairy tale is the Frog Prince..I remember i had a little record player I would listen to the story and follow along with a book.
I used to feel terribly sad for the frog, and I felt a sort of impish delight knowing the princess had to let him eat off her plate... when he turned into a prince I was so happy for him I cried!
oooh that's another great fairytale, The Frog Prince, do you remember Fairytale Theater w/Shelly Duvall? They made a Frog Prince short movie! It was so cute!
Magic, Hugs and Happy Holidays!

Hi Lisa,
Have to have some of that paper!!
Gorgeous!
Soooo many favorite stories. But my favorite storybooks in the whole world that my Mother read to me over and over (my request :)were "The Lonely Doll" Series by Dare Wright. They are somewhat hard to find now, and were even out of print when my Mother and I got them from the library, but I have a small collection of them for Reagan now , and she loves them too. OH, to have that doll(Edith)!!!
Shari, I love that book too, I found a copy when I was antiquing last time I was in Pleasanton, about 1.5 yrs ago, It was in great condition!
I need to scan some images from that book to upload to my flickr and blog about it!
Happy Happy Magical Holidays!

Lisa!
Hello Lisa,
You always make such magical creations. Mine isn't really a storybook or fairytale. Though it does hold some magic (nostalgia) for me. Growing up we would watch the movie Emmet Otter's Jug-band Christmas. A great classic muppet movie. I found the orignal movie on VHS many many years ago. So it now becomes a tradition for a new generation as I watch it with my nieces and nephews.
May your Holidays be magical.
Melissa
