I'm Back from Pleasanton California, ZNE Convenzione Post One!
Hello all,
I have missed all my friends in blogland, I came back from California early this week and have been sorting things out on the business and book front, so I apologize for not blogging earlier then today.Over the Rocky Mountains on the airplane!I wanted to start this blog post off with my beginning adventure to ZNE Convenzione in Pleasanton, California which began Wed. April 29, 2009 at 4:30am Eastern NJ Time.
To start I packed my car keys, lol, eventually found them and Glenny drove us down to Newark Airport, where security guided us to our flight which we had 5 minutes left to board and fly out at 7am. We arrived at 10:30am in San Francisco, to find out our luggage was on another flight and would be delivered to the hotel that night, lol! All my make-up, clothes and class supplies were in there...NICE!Chel picked us up at the airport and drove us to the hotel, the Pleasanton Marriot, the staff was soooo nice, and by the end of the trip new my mom and me by first name, LOL! That same day my room was charged 3 times and a different amount, talk about a fainting spell...Well I was in much need of coffee, food and extra supplies, so the shuttle drove us to the Michaels shopping center, where I bought new goodies and while on line, I heard my name: "Lisa", I turned and saw a familiar face, I said "Gypsy", it was instant hugs and happiness, I love this girl.We talked for a bit and she mentioned there was a Starbucks around the corner, well, that made the day even better, Coffee, a cup of coffee, I'm simple, LOL!When My Mom and I arrived at back at the hotel, boom, our luggage was there and so was: Ann-Denise Anderson, Mica Garabino, Ruth Rae, Julie Bergmann and Brandi Butcher-Isley,all checking in for the convenzione. Ann-Denise was my room-mate, Mica and Brandi were our next door room-mates, while Ruth and Julie were down the hallway. Now it was time to get ready and head down to Gallery 7 to meet the rest of the girls and to watch Jon Troast perform, with a live podcast as well, not to mentions some delicious truffles, loved them can't you tell? LOL!The following are some pictures inside the galleryPictured are: Ulla Milbrath, Ruth Rae, Ann Denise Anderson, Mica Garabino, Brandie Butcher-Isley, Iva Wilcox, Chelise Stroud, Me and Gina Gabriell.Julie and Me taking pictures of each other, LOL!AnnDenise, Mica, Julie, Chel and Me!
I have a treasure trove of photos, part two of day one will be posted tomm, with even more pictures, plus I'm still adding the rest of close to 400 photos, lol, to my online photo album for the rest of the zners to see and the highlights for all of you. You can also visit the ZNE Convenzione 2009 Album in my flickr account for almost a full set of images.
