Rocker Cuffs, Vintage, Distressed and Grunge

If you really know me, then you will know that I love, love, love music, all kinds of music, nothing gets me more inspired with creating then listening to some of my favorite music, from Shinedown, Tool, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains to Sting, The Eagles and Journey, rock, metal to classical and jazz, depending on my mood, will dictate the music I listen to and the art that I will create.

As many of you know I have been making Sports Cuffs and Leather Cuffs for a long time, always looking for another style to add to my line of cuffs, this new line are the rocker cuffs, dedicated to my love of music and rock star style.

After a recent trip to last week's Carnival of Madness concert at the Stone Pony, I got re-inspired once again to take my rocker cuffs to another level, with a more grungy and masculine feel, a perfect unisex cuff for both men and woman, a cuff for the rocker in you.

These cuffs range from simple to complex for all style ranges, grungy to new, the rocker cuffs will fit perfectly for you.

Second Skin Leather Metal Cuffs

I was invited to take part in an amazing blog hop where the primary focus was my fave subject: Jewelry Cuffs. Each designer was given a metal cuff, a package of second skin leather ( I received a red tilapia fish leather) & leather scissors, all from John Bead Suppliers.
I just loved this project idea so much, I became overly excited and couldn't decide on what to make as a permanent design for my cuff, so I decided to make mine inter-changeable using removable shoe clips, clip on earrings and pins, which I could customize for any look before I went out, many of the jewelry pieces I used were vintage or recycled from my jewelry drawer.

Materials:
-Second Skin Tilapia Fish Leather, Metal Complex
-Metal Cuff, Metal Complex
-Leather Scissors, Dazzle It
-Jewelry Clips: Shoe Clips, Clip Earrings, or Pins
-Glue


Directions:
1.Coat your metal cuff with a tacky all purpose glue of choice.

2.Cover your glued cuff w/second skin tilapia fish leather, press tightly,
   and fold over any excess leather underneath the cuff, let dry.
3.Choose the clips of choice to match your outfit and you are ready for a night out on the town.

Tips:
-Mix the leathers for various looks.
-Add medallions, charms or metal pieces to your cuff.
-Turn into a watch, by attaching a thin rimmed watch part to your cuff.
-Line w/rhinestone strands or studs.
-Layer w/friendship bracelet strands
-Wear on its own, w/nothing on it

Leather Belt Cuffs aka Buckle Bracelets

I now have available custom belt cuffs aka Buckle Bracelets made using a variety of items, upcycled belts, vintage and new jewelry pieces such as pins, pendants and eclectic findings, brass and metal tags, charms and plates.

All the cuffs are customized to fit your taste and style. All cuffs (pictured above) come with one main med/large rhinestone piece and a few smaller pieces for $35, for extra extra dazzling bling then those cuffs are $45 to 50 (not pictured)

Often I have vintage belts or leather in stock that I can use for the bases of each cuff.

The cuff above is a basic style using a vintage and distressed leather and rhinestone findings, this one is the one I kept for myself, lol, the following are more masculine/unisex cuffs w/no rhinestones or bling and are available for $20 each. All cuffs are normally black or brown in color unless I have other colors or leather textures in stock. Many of the unisex basic cuffs can be enhanced with metal lettered plating or studs, even some heat engraved, perfect for an edgy musician rocker look.Whatever your style or taste these belt cuffs can be customized to fit your style or flare, and are now apart of my sports cuff and leather cuff family of accessories.

New in the store: Metal Lined Baseball Cuffs

Going forward all baseball cuffs and sports cuffs will come metal lined w/o a clasp which I have found makes for better contour to fit your wrist, rather then clasps. If you still want a clasp, you can have one, but I recommend the metal form instead.
I don't always have the same baseball in stock, especially the specialty baseballs like the one pictured here, I mostly use MLB Rawlings Baseballs, I do get little league and used ones in all the time, so make sure they are in stock. If there is a style baseball I had done before let me know that as well.
Another recommendation I must add is, ordering an all white, white stitched cuff, washes out the cuff and the one wearing it. If you want as white as possible, add at least a pearl strand to the white leather baseball and white stitching or if no pearls go for an off white stitching, this will add some element to the starchness of the baseball.Like the one above, this one is all white as can be with tiny pearls laced between the stitching.These are the basic red stitched cuffs.Keep in mind, this is my busiest time of year during baseball season, please allow 2-3 weeks for customization, finish and shipping. If you need sooner for an event please allow for ordering time and inform me as well.

Baseball Season Means Baseball Cuffs!

This is prime time season for me and the baseball cuffs aka B-Cuffs, I have been making these cuffs for years and for many team moms, wives, girlfriends and pals, from MLB friends to Little League friends, and Fans, my cuffs can be made customized to your team colors, team balls or personal balls from a family member.

All the baseballs I have in stock range from practice balls, MLB balls, used, grungy, vintage and new. Some are pink, some are hand dyed, some are team specified, designs and artwork, depends on the balls I have in stock at the time of order.Also note that I over several basic styles to make your decision easier, the Basic B-Cuff Style which is a basic baseball w/cream stitching, light color lining, a rhinestone Q for Queen of the Outfield, mini pearl border and additional crystals, this is the one main style for choosing.

The next style is the Shabby and Chic pastel cuffs, the next is grunge/vintage, another is basic stitching, no rhinestones or bling, team geared ones and some more options such as rock star edgy cuffs, artwork transfers, etc.

In addition to the baseball cuffs, its also tennis season too, so the tennis cuffs start coming in now as well, occasionally we have colored tennis balls in stock and can dye them as well.Here's an example of vintage and grunge baseballs one w/Texas AM on the cuff, the other basic red Q!All my cuffs come with a hand stitched label: LK meaning Lisa Kettell Designs, so you know its authentic and a certificate of Authenticity is emailed to each customer who purchases a cuff! These cuffs are Yankee themed colors and one is a hand stitched logo!Now many of my customers down south and especially Texas, love the bling and frou frou cuffs such as these, which I call Glamour Cuff B Style:For some New Orleans Fans:

In the next few months the cuffs are getting another style added, contour cuff style, which bends the cuff to your wrist, this is going to be an option I recommend soon, as to not worry about size and measurements of your cuff with the clasps and jump rings. Like the baseballs the clasps all depend on what is in stock, we have some hook clasps, toggle clasps, lobster clasps, magnetic, flip over, etc. and they aren't always in stock, so please keep that in mind when ordering.

All cuffs are handmade and authentic, the cuffs and their project have been published over 50 times in the past several years, since then other versions have popped up over the web, please remember when purchasing my cuffs these are the original to my idea and there for like I mentioned earlier receive certificates of authenticity!
