Ranger always seems to put a smile on my face even their staff of amazing woman who I call my dearest friends, they add to the magic of each product that is produced. This year I fell completely head over heels for their newest product: Vintaj Patina Paints which are patina paints that were developed w/Vintaj, my other fave group.

These paints are released by Ranger which are Vintaj Patina's and Vintaj Glaze which is actually a metal sealer and patina extender, it can be used over paints, inks, etc, imagine the possibilities, in addition I always enjoy Claudine's products and The distressed inks from Tim. After I left the fabulous Hemptique booth I walked right into Vintaj, one of my fave charm and findings companies to date! From the beginning I have been a loyal Vintaj fan, following their products and newest innovations with one of my new fave items released by Ranger which are Vintaj Patina's and Vintaj Glaze which is a metal sealer and patina extender, it can be used over paints, inks, etc. these products are going to be one of the items we work with in our next Tiara Chronicles Meeting this coming month! Here is a sneak peak into some of their how-to books, which I will also carry in the store!

I had the pleasure of meeting Doug, Wendy and Joanna who are even more amazing then their product. CHA Day 1! Vintaj!CHA Day 1! Vintaj! 3CHA Day 1! Vintaj! 2Wendy, Doug and Me:CHA Day 1! Vintaj! Dr.Wambatt's Faerie Collector!
Dr.Wambatt's Faerie Collector! 17
Here is another project using my steampunk faerie paper, the faerie tile paper. These are steampunk faeries turned into a pocket book and faerie box called:
Dr.Wambatt's Faerie Collector!

The one sheet of paper can yield a few projects. I made the steampunk faerie banner, 3 faerie wands and this projects using one sheet of this scrapbook paper!

This project doubles as an accordian folded book, and a box theater! For directions on how to make an atc sized accordian folded book, pick up a copy of my book: Altered Art Circus for directions on how to make it!

Here are some photos of the project!

Here it is closed with the faeries tucked into it, complete with their wands:
Dr.Wambatt's Faerie Collector! 18
This photo shows how I closed it, using 2 metal brads and dmc metallic thread:
Dr.Wambatt's Faerie Collector! 19
This shows the book opened:
Dr.Wambatt's Faerie Collector! 13 The book itself is made from my Apothecary Potion Paper, Aqua grunge luggage paper and left overs from my steampunk faerie paper. The top sections of the book are pockets, which the faeries and their wands slide into.

I used Zip Dry to glue the papers together to make the book, I sanded down the edges of the folds and inked/distressed w/Lipstick Ink-Distress Inks-Ranger Ink.

I used Art Glitter on two of the faerie and Antique Silver glitter from Martha Stewart on the other faerie!

Now here is another project you can make using the faeries: Faerie Wands!

CHA 2010, Highlights, Day 1!
CHA Day 1 on, Convention Hall! 6
Hello All,
Many of you are aware that I flew out to Anaheim, California for the Craft and Hobby Association referred to as "CHA", for book signings, make/takes and more!

The magic began right from the start as I walked through the doors of the beautiful convention center, although slightly cloudy and chilly, once the doors opened the warmth of art surrounded me, and the magic of Carmi Cimicata too. I was so excited Carmi and I finally met, she is a true inspiration, everything she touches is beautiful and when you meet her you'll see why, Carmi is a true soul and an amazing artist, go check out her wonderful blog at:

CHA Day 1, Me and Amy! 2CHA Day 1, Me and Laura!CHA Day 1, Mom and Laura!CHA Day 1, Laura Kelly! We started at Plaid's Booth and met with the amazing Laura Kelly whose artwork graces many Plaid products and others, along with Amy Anderson, these girls rock. Amy chatted with us for awhile, while Laura drew us our own personalized illustrations in a few minutes, I will cherish it for ever. My Mom loved hers so much that she has already framed it and placed on her wall. I'm re-doing the studio, so once ready, I'll frame mine and jazz up my walls there too.

At Beacon we rocked the party with a cool covered book make and take using my favorite zip and dry glue, this stuff is wrinkle free and won't indent your paper projects, I love it, this saves me from rolling down my paper with a rolling pin or brayer, or stacking books on top, love that instant gratification and you will too.Pajama Party: Beacon Adhesive Table!Pajama Party at Beacon Table! 2This project was one of my favorites, the papers, the flowers, everything I love all in one piece. Here are some highlights of the project and the make/take at the Pajama Party. Pajama Party at Beacon Table! 10Pajama Party at Beacon Table! 9

Mike Assile, Hala Assile are who I worked with at the table, later on I would meet the AMAZING Karen, who I just adore. These three people have become my extended family and I adore them all,, and you will too.
