Rabbit in Wonderland

Here is my newest as of late last night creation I have labeled: "Rabbit in Wonderland", created from a variety of pieces I found at the one and only Hobby Lobby, from their Fairy Tale line/Bead Treasures, found exclusively at Hobby Lobby. In addition I added some of my own elements and found pieces for extra whimsy such as a thin chain, clasp and matching findings.


After making this piece, I think I may just keep this one too, I love how it looks with a white tank top, seer sucker red jacket and skinny jeans (my fave thing at the moment). Although I have been asked for it to sell, hmmm., will just have to think that one out tonight.

Layering pieces always brings out the fun in a necklace and that saying: "less is more" has completely gone out the window with the new fashion trends these days and especially when it comes to my jewelry designs and works.

As an admirer of Alice in Wonderland which ironically was the first book I ever received when I was born from my Aunt Noel in a red leather classic binding, which as you can see snippets of red float throughout this necklace, mixed with my love for rabbits, Beatrix Potter and Fairy Tales, all can be seen in this piece.

The Wonderland Chronicles!

Before Alice fell down the rabbit hole, chasing after the white rabbit who is actually the grandson of S. W. Rabbit, and great great grandson of Elmerious Rabbit, before the mad tea party which was retold in carroll's story, Wonderland was more then a countryside fantasy trap of riddles and rhymes, all in the hopes of Alice finding her way back home....................

Wonderland was a mysterious place, one wrapped in secrets and hidden labrinyths, good against bad, friend or enemy, what lays underneath the green hat, could be a never ending hole, a time travel back to Cheshire E. Cat's first of his 9 lives, inside his apothecary shoppe at the corner of Pigeonwood Court and Tweedle Pine Lane, inside Wonderland City.

No one knows what's lurking behind every corner, keep your magic near by for you never know when you will need it. Come with me and visit Sir Wilford Humpty's Photographie Studio and glimpse through his cabinet of cards, and read about the wonderland chronicles.

Queen of Hearts Banner Swap!

Queen of Hearts Banner Swap! This is my banner design for the Queen of Hearts Garland Banner Swap, that I am hosting! There are 4 slots left in the banner swap!

The pieces were made using paper from my scrapbook line, cupie doll from my embellishments line, crepe paper, pom pom garland, embellishments, trims, ribbons, felt, glitter and paint.

I will make 11 more of these for each banner!

All 12 participating artists will make 12 of the same banner pieces for the swap, the result will be a Queen of Hearts themed banner made up of 12 different components of artwork revolving around this theme. The pieces will be attached to a main ribbon and be accompanied by a few extra surprises that I will top it off with, then sent back to the individual!

Come join the swap, deadline to sign up is in a few weeks, however , slots are filling so that deadline could be sooner!

I do have some supplies available in my artfire and etsy stores to make your banners, The flat back Cupie full size dolls, Cupie Heads, etc, I made here are available, if you would like some to use in your banners check my stores or contact me for ordering some. The Wonderland Carnival Charlottes!
Welcome back to the Land of Charlottes with these new additions, meet the characters from Wonderland as they go to the Carnival! Everyone is going. Maddie the Mad Hatter's Sister and Mr. Hatter himself, Alice, The Queen, Mrs. Taylor Rabbit who is the white rabbits pink rabbit cousin, Ida the Caterpillar, Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee, Flamingo Sam, The Dutchess and many more. Meet Missy, the Lion Tamer Mouse who is ready to put on a show, see her publicity photo below, just released from the Wonderland Circus Photographie Studio!
Now look at sweet Alice in her favorite light blue and white dress, she is wearing her new ribbon headband from Oliver and Piddleson Millinery, Co.

Conservatoire Du Cirque d'Alice!"Conservatoire Du Cirque d'Alice" translate from French to English: "Alice's Circus Conservatory" This is a new piece I created which is part of the Storybook Friends Collection and is inspired by vintage storybooks, their whimsical and enchanting characters. For this piece I choose to work with my favorite storybook: Alice in Wonderland and my signature Carnival/Circus theme. The main character of this storybook piece is a yellow chix named Alice, who comes back to Wonderland to visit the Circus, and gets transformed into costume as a chix for the day, while enjoying the many treats that this circus has to offer.
Alice is scene here through the looking glass entering Berrie Diddle Dee's Fun House of Sugary Sweets, notice the edible sugar bulbs hanging over head and the lollipop columns and gumball lanterns surrounding her. Everything about Berrie Diddle Dee's Fun House is sugary sweet, a candyland utopia filled with everything edible, there is even a gondola boat made from hardened marzipan which floats you out of the fun house on the cherry cocktail water stream, all who leave the fun house receive a sour cherry heart candy wand, curteousy of The Queen of Hearts Confectionaires.

This piece of Storybook Magic was created from a canning jar (ACMoore), Acrylic paints (Ranger, Ink) and Pink Paint (Plaid), Glitter (Art Institute of Glitter), Clay (Model Magic), Scrapbook Paper (Prima), Crepe Paper (Blumchen),Forget Me Knots Paper Flowers (Paper Source), Tinsel Sheets (Candyland Crafts) and other fab supplies.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Bat, How I Wonder Where You're At!I am a total Alice in Wonderland Lover, its most definately my favorite Children's book, from the unusual characters and story plot to the poems and the various illustrations from a plethora of artists.

I love the setting of the Mad Tea Party, and the magical setting, the tea cups and treats, the Queen of Hearts, Tweedle Dum, Tweedle Dee, Humpty Dumpty's role and the Flamingo's, I love it all. My Aunt Noel actually gave this book to my mom for me just before I was born, she said I would love it when I could understand it, she was so right. I have created some versions of this Lewis Carroll Classic, through illustrations, digitally, zine form and novel form. The pictures in this post are two of my favorite digital images I made for the digital version which I used to have available as a zine before I converted to the new format with Lulu, and might reprint in its new style when I get back from California.
