  4. What exactly is an ATC?!

Is there a certain size for the postcard? Is it like a tag where we can add ruffles and such?

    Thanks!

  9. Hi Jill,
An ATC is the size of a trading card 3.5 by 2.5 inches!
My atc's usually end up being bigger when I add ruffles or trims to them!
The postcards can be 4 by 6 or 5 by 7 inches!

I have you all marked down! I have some more people who have signed up tyro ugh email and flickr as well! It looks like we might be filled before the sign up deadlines, which will be great, a few more sign ups to go!

    Xoxo

So glad you found me at Joyce's site: Rose Petal Porch, I'll mark you down! Anything goes for the atc, the basic base size of an atc is 3.5 by 2.5 inches, but mine always end up so much more larger then that standard size, I'll check flickr now!

Everyone, I will post pictures of banner samples, atc samples and postcard samples tomorrow or Saturday for some ideas!

  23. Hi Lisa
I began working on my pieces for this swap and got caught on the word vintage. What exactly does vintage mean? What era and do I need to use original ephemera or can I scan and copy to resize my valentines?
Also, what paper works best for printing the pieces for my banner and ATC card?
I am new at swaps and don't want to disappoint the recipient of my items. THanks for any direction you can give.

  24. Hi Lisa and everyone joining the swaps!
Ros, since I signed up for all three, I needed to get going on them too.
For my POSTCARDS, I used a medium weight cardboard (I cut 5, 5x7 sheets from a large box). For my ATC's I used cardboard also, but it's a bit thinner, less weight.
For the banner I was going to use something similar to the ATC's...so it's not heavy when we put them all together.
As far as "Vintage" goes, I'm assuming what we want is what YOU think of as VINTAGE..and that's what is going to make these all so unique. For me "vintage" is lots of distressed patinas, layers of old paper, and innocent little faces. I think it's about the "Era" that you choose. Also, some of the ephemera I used is original, and some are copies. Copies look just as beautiful!
Ros, I hope this helps a little. And Lisa I'm so sorry I've jumped in and began working before you have sent official instructions. Please let me know if I've gotten off track. And thanks again for organizing this fun swap.

  25. Ros, Sorry for delay, just getting ready for CHA this weekend. Erica you said it best and answered it, thank you so much! I really appreciate that!

Ros, if you need anything else, let me know!

I'll have the swap partner names up next Wednesday, I'm waiting for the emails/addresses of some of the ladies now so that I can finalize the list and send out!

    Have a wonderful night!

  27. Hey all :)
Just letting you know that I asked Lisa if we need to attach a ribbon to the top of our banner pieces or not. I wasn't sure if she was going to be doing that part, or how that was all going to work. Here is her response below. Just so you all know too! :)
    Thanks Lisa! Erica

    Hi Erica ,
I'm at Cha in LA, I'll be home wednesday night if my plane dosen't get delayed with the new snowstorm hitting NJ.
Attaching the ribbon would be great!
I'll send the email thursday with the swap name/ partners

  29. I have heard from many of you, some not, I sent out an email last week. I'll re-send today. We have 2 no-show swappers and 1 on the banner, I will make up the swap differences, so send all swaps to me, so I can re-send to you and so that there are no un-even amounts.

Also I won't have the swaps mailed til monday, as I am still waiting on all the arrivals!

But the ones pouring in are FABULOUS! You will love what you will be receiving!

    xoxo

  34. Hi All,
Quick announcement on the swaps, we had a few no-shows and 2 late senders. I got the last of the swaps in from everyone this past Thursday!
Since we are missing a few in the swap, I have created the extra swaps to replace the no-shows to make everything even.

All swaps can now be mailed out Tuesday!

Visit my flickr page to see some of the items in the swaps!

    xoxo
